The Soup cook off at West Penn Naturist was a great success.  All the soups were great and it was hard to choose which one was best. The voting was very close, only two votes separated all the winners. Janice took 1st place, Tom P. 2nd place and Tim & Carol took home the 3rd place trophy.  Thank you to all that made the evening a great success.   As usual the snack table was loaded with yummies.  Mary brought homemade pistachio pies, several people brought finger sandwiches, cookies and brownies etc.  If you went home hungry…that’s your fault.  Thank you to everyone that made contributed to making this a great night.

Jan 7

Last night, Jan 7, was a very good night at West Penn Naturist’s International Food Night.  Along with great food we welcomed several new members and a lot of our friends from White Thorn Lodge and Northcoast Naturists.  Thank you all for coming and helping to make last night a very special night.

The snack table was exceptional last night. Tom’s Mexican Lasagna, Audrey’s potato and leek soup with homemade bread, Bill’s Irish potatoes, Eileen’s baked brie, and the pizza that Buzz had were among the favorites.  Naturally the table had it’s usual share of cakes and cookies.  THANK YOU all for bringing such great snacks for us.

The pool, saunas and massage table was kept busy all night.  The saunas, steam and dry, are great places to sit enjoy the heat and chat with friends.  There were about 20 people playing WPN’s [not quite Olympic] version of water volleyball.  It was almost as much fun watching them as it was for the players.

Jim H. won the 50/50 raffle and took home over $50.00.

Our next swim will be Jan. 28, it’s our soup cook off. If you make a good homemade soup bring it.  We eat soup, vote for our favorite and the soup with the most votes wins a nice trophy for the cook.  Last year we had ten pots of soup I hope we can have more this year.

In the end it was Jeff H taking 1st place. 2nd place went to Brian K. and 3rd place was taken by Julie S.  This was the closest voting we have had in several years. The 50/50 raffle was won by Brian S.  Brian, thank you very much for the generous donation you gave back to the club.  Tiffany of Brian  won the free pass.

Oct 1, 2011

Over 50 people celebrated West Penn Naturist’s 30th birthday party.  Buzz had cake and ice cream plus a little gift for each of us.  It was good to see some old friends that attended their first swim of the season and we had 4 newbies at their first socially nude event. They all enjoyed them selves and said they will return soon.

Virginia won the 50/50 raffle and Elaine took home the free pass.

A lot of people played our version of water volleyball. No rules, no scoring, just hit the beach balls and have fun.  Some people enjoyed our steam and dry saunas, some just sat and chatted with old and new friends.  Dana, our masseuse, was kept busy till midnight.   Everyone said the felt “great” when they got off her table. Dana gives excellent massages, the next time your at a swim be sure to sign up for her massage.

The snack table was loaded with goodies as usual.  Bill and Janice brought pulled pork that was excellent!  The stuffed peppers Taz brought was another hit. As mentioned above the birthday cake and ice cream was a welcome treat. It tasted as good as it looked. It was a sheet cake bordered with cup cakes.  Everyone threw away the diet book for a night and enjoyed cake and ice cream.
Thank you to all that brought something for us to share.
