Dear WPN, I wanted to take the time to thank all of your members for making my first “nudist” experience such a pleasurable one. Although I have always had the desire to swim and sun bathe nude, Nudism itself had never actually entered my mind. However, thanks to a wonderful friend of mine who belongs to WPN, those longtime dreams actually came to fruition this past weekend. I was invited to White Thorn Lodge and decided to go and spend the day. I have to say, for me coming through that gate was the most difficult part of the entire day. If I say I was shaking, that would be a gross understatement. Once thru them though, a whole new world opened up for me. The thought of baring it all was a terrifying thought, I wasn't sure I could do it. There was no pressure though. I was introduced around and taken on a tour of the facility. Then went and sat down and began talking with people. Seeing how at ease everyone was whether they were fully clothed, half dressed or completely nude – I started to feel that same ease; forgot about my “not so perfect” body. Soon after that, the clothing came off as I transitioned into only a simple button down shirt. And, not long after that, as I excitedly headed for my first nude swim, the shirt came off as well; and never actually was worn again for the remainder of my time there. In fact, I forgot about it so much – I left it behind! It turned out to be one of the best days of my life. I not only got to swim and sunbathe in the nude, I actually was able to come to very content awareness of my own nakedness – which if any of you females know – is quite a feat when dealing with self image. BUT, the absolute icing on the cake, I met the most wonderful group of people ever. They were so very welcoming and kind and most of all made this adventure feel so very natural. They said I was a nudist now. I smiled then – but I went home – and am. Thank you WPN! (AND see you soon!) The EX Newbie Michelle |
